Creative Computing Club - Moonbuggies (Ages 9-12) at Science Oxford on Saturday, 14 May.

Get coding on a Saturday at this monthly programming club for ages 9-12 at the Science Oxford Centre. As NASA’s robotic spacecraft explorers await ‘Artemis’ astronauts to join them on the moon, they’ll be programming Python and a BBC micro:bit to communicate with model moon-buggies across space!

At this month's Creative Computing Club, there’ll be plenty of lunar challenges to face, including guiding the buggies to pick up ‘moon rock’ samples using a servo-controlled grabbing claw. There’s also the time delay between Earth and the moon to grapple with – 1.255 seconds can be a long time when you’re trying to navigate an already rocky mission!

All children must be accompanied by an adult (adult entrance free)

Your ticket includes your timed Creative Computing Cub session + access to their woodland and outdoor Water Lab exhibit until 5.30pm.

Café open between 10am and 4pm for drinks, snacks and light lunches.

Times:

10AM - 11.30AM, 12.30PM - 2PM, 3PM - 4.30PM
